This is a fantastic Hunting or Livestock ranch! Deer, Deer, Deer & Location, Location, Location. Located on Joslin Valley Road/E 1780 Road. Only a mile or two North of Snow, Oklahoma you’ll find this amazing place!
This offering has electricity on the county road, rural water and land line telephone serving it. A great feature is that it has legal access on the dead-end county road, E 1780 Road. Joslin Ridge Ranch is only approximately 2 hours & 45 minutes from the center of Dallas, Texas. It is 2 hours & 50 minutes from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 2 hours & 40 minutes from Tulsa, Oklahoma and only 18 miles Northeast of Antlers, Oklahoma, “Deer Capital of Oklahoma.” It is incredible the number of whitetail deer that you’ll see while driving through this exciting ranch. This last season the owner harvested a 14-point buck (see pictures) Joslin Ridge Ranch is only three miles directly South of the 90,000-acre Pushmataha Wildlife Management Area and 10’s of thousands of acres of Timber Company Land. The Pushmataha Wildlife Management Area is the home of one of the largest wild Elk herds in Oklahoma, so occasionally you will have Elk on the ranch.
The property itself is in what the foresters call the “Transitional Stage.” Evolving from grass pasture to young woods. Twenty to twenty-five years ago most of this place was mostly cleared pastureland & scattered woods. Now it is mostly wooded with small, scattered meadows for browsing, grazing and food plots. There are plenty of trails throughout this beautiful ranch to provide access to all parts of it for your 4-wheeler or ATV. At this stage you could affordably reclaim the pasture with a brush mower and mulcher to create fantastic pasture or you can just let it transition back to woods, whichever you desire. Caney Creek runs North to South through the West half of this amazing deer mecca! It is mostly a wet weather creek but does have some seeps and springs along its course that provides water year-round. There are two old shale pits where the owner once excavated shale for road building material. There is a spring at one of the pits and a very nice spring fed pond at the other (see pictures).
This wonderful acreage will be a fabulous acreage for a new home or hunting cabins. There are many nice scenic building sites but, my favorite site is on Joslin Ridge overlooking the valley and spring fed pond below with views of the Wild Horse Mountain in the distance to the Southeast!
